Established in 2024, Cardinem is a counselling and coaching practice offering professional assistance and guidance in resolving personal and psychological problems.
Counselling vs Coaching presents a distinction between two valuable forms of support.
The success of either is predicated on a collaborative relationship between the counsellor or coach and client, seeking to improve overall well-being, identify what is holding you back, and enabling you to move forward.
At Cardinem, we believe that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. Our counselling services are designed to help our clients unlock their potential and achieve their goals.
There are times when we need someone to talk to in confidence. Someone to listen to us as we explore our thoughts and feelings, without fear of judgment. Sometimes our thoughts are muddled, not knowing the direction to take, or indeed, may simply not be ready to take any action at all.
On occasions, our behaviour may be self-defeating, detrimental to ourselves and others. Sometimes we act in a way that hurts the feelings of friends and family, pressing to modify our actions before it is too late.
Whatever the circumstances, you may decide to speak to a counsellor.
Pluralistic approach
I adopt a pluralistic approach to counselling, which means I favour integrating different therapeutic approaches.

Coaching offers many benefits for individuals seeking personal and professional growth. Moreover, coaching assists individuals in determining their short and long-term goals and developing appropriate strategies to achieve them.
We focus on two areas of coaching ~
Coaching principles and outcomes
Coaching principles create a foundation to facilitate growth and help clients achieve their desired outcomes. Some of the key principles and outcomes include individual accountability, fostering self-awareness, boosting emotional intelligence, goal setting and achievement and enriching work-life balance.

Psychometric assessments are useful tools in coaching. They offer numerous benefits and provide an objective and standardised means of evaluating an individual's abilities, interests, personality traits, and values, reducing the influence of bias and subjectivity. In addition, these assessments foster self-awareness by delving into individuals' strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and values, enabling them to navigate their career paths more discerningly.
Psychometric assessments streamline career exploration by providing a structured approach to uncovering diverse career possibilities tailored to individual assessment results. Leveraging these insights, career counsellors can pinpoint potential career paths that resonate with individuals' interests, skills, and values.
The insights provided by psychometric assessment serve as crucial aids in decision-making across various career scenarios, transitioning to a different career, or pursuing advanced education or training. By offering clarity and guidance, these assessments empower individuals to make well-informed choices about their future endeavours, charting a course towards fulfilment and success.
